Mahindra Satyam Launches Offshore Development Centre

HYDERABAD - Mahindra Satyam, the new brand identity of Satyam Computer Services Ltd, has launched an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) at one of its offices in Chennai as part of its quality enhancement programs.

The new centre, set up for its customer BASF IT Services, was inaugurated by Ralf Sonnberger, Managing Director, BASF IT Services in a function here on July 8.

Sonnberger said the development will serve as a great platform for further business value opportunities.

“We have experienced great quality and considerable efficiency gains in our engagement with Mahindra Satyam till date. We are confident of enjoying the same, in the years to come,” he said.

Housed in Mahindra Satyam’s development centre here, the ODC provides managed services for the company’s extensive installed base of SAP, messaging and groupware as well as user administration.

The ODC is also expected to be a great help for BASF to deliver world-class services at competitive prices to its customers, he added.

Currently, there are 150 associates operating out of this ODC with plans to ramp up to 500 associates by 2011 in order to extend services to BASF in North and South America and for the Asia Pacific region.
