India's golden girl Sridevi, turns 47 today. We take a look at her life in pics.
Sridevi
was born on August 13, 1963 in Meenampatti village near Sivakasi, Tamil
Nadu. Her father was a lawyer from Tamil Nadu and her mother was from
Andhra Pradesh.
Sridevi
started acting at the tender age of four as a child artist. She started
appearing as a lead cast in movies in 1970's. She has starred in
hundreds of Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films.
Sridevi
was first linked with superstar Mithun Chakravarty during 1986-87. The
two broke-off since Mithun was not ready to divorce his wife, Yogita
Bali.
"During
work, I don't like fights and tensions. Jayapradha and I initially did
not get along. However, when we realised that the press was thriving on
our cold war, we decided to make up. Strangely, the fights never
affected our work. IThank God, we are on talking terms now, no more of
those pointless controversies."

on-screen couples of the 90's. Who can forget the drenched Sridevi
