Consolidated salary will be Rs.18,000/- / 19,000/- / 20,000/- per month for M.Sc + NET /MCA /LL.M/ M.Tech or M.Phil / Ph.D holders respectively. Selected candidates will be appointed initially for a period of one year on contract basis or till regular recruits join duty whichever is earlier.

The establishment of the erstwhile University of Cochin in 1971 was a commitment from the Government of Kerala towards the new scientific policy resolution adopted by the Central Government on 4th March 1958 .The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India has adjudged CUSAT as an institution to be upgraded to the level of IIT. The first installment of the development aid has been received by the University during April 2006 and the modification works to upgrade CUSAT as the new breed Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) are going in full swing. The university has a 180 acre campus at Thrikkakara and a Lakeside campus at Kochi besides an Engineering College campus at Pulinkunnu, Alappuzha, the ‘rice bowl’ of Kerala. The Lakeside campus located in Ernakulam houses the Schools of Marine Sciences, Industrial Fisheries.
