While Mahindra Satyam (formerly Satyam Computer) has been facing a tough rise in taking the company back to stable ship so far, but the spirit in the company is very high due to the fact that it has secured nearly 40-50 contracts big and small over the last 18 months.
A.S. Murthy, Chief Technology Officer, Mahindra Satyam said that the company is recruiting again selectively in some specific areas of growth including engineering and infrastructure management services.
It is to be mentioned here that since the Satyam scam broke out in January 2009, the company associates have worked with greater application delivering some of the best projects including for the FIFA World Cup which took the brand of the company to new highs.
Murthy also pointed out the fact that close to 90 per cent of the business is generated from application development and management services.
It may be noted here that the firmer tainted Chairman of the company, B. Ramalinga Raju was recently granted bail by the high court on the health grounds. One cannot show back to the fact that the Satyam scam has been the biggest so far in the history of corporate India.
